AI Content Statement

I know there are a lot of strong opinions about AI-generated images and writing, so I want to be transparent about how I use it. My stories are written by me (a human). Out of the Depths involved months of storyboarding, timeline development, rewrites, structural work, and two separate human editing passes, along with a lot of personal effort, frustration, and late nights.

I have used AI-assisted editing tools for occasional rewording or phrasing suggestions, which unfortunately is enough for some systems to label the work as containing a percentage of AI-generated content. I can live with that. The story, characters, themes, and actual writing process are still fundamentally mine (a human).

Some of the images and concept pieces on this website are AI-generated because creating a book is already incredibly expensive. Out of the Depths alone cost thousands of dollars to produce. AI concept art allows me to experiment with visual ideas, mood, and presentation without using unlicensed human artwork or spending beyond what’s realistically possible as an independent author.

That said, my final published covers will be human-made, as is the case for Out of the Depths. AI is only used here as a concept and visualization tool, not as a replacement for real artists, editors, or the creative process itself.
